FantasyLab · one person, one bench

Small tools that show their work.

FantasyLab is a one-person studio. Six tools so far: a game maker, a statistics engine, and four plain tools for parking, owner pay, job pricing and listing copy. Most of them run on your own machine, and every page says what its tool can't do yet.

Fantasy Studio

Type a sentence. Get a game.

One sentence becomes a playable 3D game, or a rendered cinematic video, made on your own Windows PC.

  • A game builds in about a minute, and Game mode needs no GPU.
  • Video mode renders in Blender and hands you an MP4, a GIF, PNGs and the .blend file.
  • Free for personal use, source-available under BSL 1.1. Windows only, for now.
Aurora

Cloud LLMs guess. Aurora computes.

Drop in a dataset and get findings from real statistical methods, computed on your own machine.

  • Every finding names the method that produced it, and links its source.
  • When a method can't run, Aurora skips it and says why. It never fakes a result.
  • Free and open source (Apache-2.0). Windows, macOS and Linux, plus a web demo.
Spotless

Free parking, honest math.

Find free parking near where you're going, and see in dollars whether a free spot plus a short walk beats a garage or a rideshare.

  • At the Ryman in Nashville, a free spot and a 4 minute walk came to about $1. The garage was about $36.
  • No ads, no account. The decision engine runs on your phone.
  • Rideshare prices are estimates, never quotes. iPhone only, for now.
Counsel

Pay yourself, with the receipts.

It works out what you can safely pay yourself, checked against 13 weeks of cash.

  • Tap any number to see the method, the sample size and how sure it is.
  • Nine statistical engines run on the phone, all of them in under a second.
  • Free tier; Pro is $14.99 a month. It never moves money, and it isn't financial advice.

True Rate

Know your real number.

A spreadsheet kit for solo handymen and small remodelers. It prices any job from your own costs instead of a guess.

  • $2,870 a month in overhead and $60,000 in pay, spread over 1,339 billable hours, comes to $70.52 an hour to break even.
  • Six tabs in Google Sheets or Excel, and it works on your phone.
  • $39 once, no subscription. The calculator is free, no email needed.

ListingLint

AI wrote the listing. It's still your ad.

Paste a listing draft and see every Fair Housing red flag and unconfirmed claim, with the reason, the source and a safer rewrite.

  • 124 rules, each one citing a source. There's no AI model in it.
  • It runs in your browser. The listing text is never uploaded.
  • The checker is free; Pro is $29 once. Not legal advice.

Six tools. Each one built for one moment.

They don't share a look, because a parking app and a pricing sheet shouldn't feel the same. They share a rule: show the work, and write down the limits.

  • Foxfire Chase, a game Fantasy Studio built from one sentence: a fox racing through a snowy night forest collecting glowing orbs.
Windows · free for personal use

For people with game or video ideas and no engine skills. Type one sentence and get a playable 3D game or a rendered film, made on your own PC.

  • Aurora's cartoon polar bear in its blue star hat, holding up a finding card.
Windows, macOS, Linux · free, Apache-2.0

For analysts, engineers and AI builders. Drop in a dataset and get findings from real statistical methods, each one cited. When a method can't run, it says why.

  • iPhone · free, no ads, no account

For nights out and trips downtown. It finds free parking near where you're going and shows, in dollars, whether the walk beats a garage or a rideshare.

  • iPhone + web · free tier, Pro $14.99/mo

For owners without a finance department. It works out what you can safely pay yourself against 13 weeks of cash, and every number opens to its receipt.

  • The Price This Job tab: three tasks and a trip charge, totaling $352.50 with the minimum met.
    Google Sheets / Excel · $39 once

For solo handymen and small remodelers. It prices any job from your own costs, so the number you text is one you worked out.

  • The ListingLint checker marking a listing draft: risky phrases underlined by severity, with the facts that don't match struck through.

For agents with an AI-written listing. Paste it and see every Fair Housing red flag and unconfirmed claim, with the reason and the source. Not legal advice.

If it can't show its work, it shouldn't make the claim.

Most AI tools hand you a confident answer and hide how they got it. Everything on this bench works the other way round.

There's no venture money behind it, no ads in it, and nobody's data for sale. It's one workstation, built in public.

  1. 1

    Local where it can be.

Aurora runs offline after its first launch. Counsel and Spotless do their math on the phone. ListingLint never uploads the listing.

  2. 2

    Open where it should be.

Aurora is Apache-2.0. Fantasy Studio is source-available under BSL 1.1. You can read the code and run it yourself.

  3. 3

    Compute first, then talk.

Real methods make the numbers. Where a language model is in the loop at all, it only rewords what was already computed.

  4. 4

    Write the limits down.

Windows only. iPhone only. An estimate, not a quote. Not legal advice. Every page says what its tool can't do yet.

Built in public.
